WashU ID

You will use your WashU ID to access various buildings, store payment accounts, including your meal plan, Bear Bucks, and printing credits. Meal plans are loaded onto your WashU ID at the beginning of each semester and operate on a declining balance. Campus Card Services.

How to get your WashU ID:

  1. Students living in Residential Life housing will receive their WashU ID when checking in to move on campus.
  2. Students not living in Residential Life housing can submit their photo using our self-service portal, CloudCard. Once ready, students can pick up their WashU ID at the University Services Center, located in the Mallinckrodt Center, Suite 201 A, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Dining with your WashU ID

  1. All undergraduate and exchange students are required to have a meal plan. Use your WashU ID to purchase meals for on-campus dining. WashU offers a wide variety of dining options.
  2. Bear Bucks is WashU’s cashless tax-free spending account. Students can open a Bear Bucks account for free and funds to their account for on-campus dining, nationwide Grubhub orders, printing when your printing balance runs out and shopping at the University Bookstore or Bear Necessities. If you exceed your Dining Services Meal Plan, Bear Bucks can automatically cover purchases at campus dining locations.

Paperless billing: WashU uses a paperless billing system, so all statements will be available in your financials hub in Workday Student. The secure eBilling service will send an email to your WashU email account whenever a new monthly statement is ready. Students are responsible for making sure their accounts are paid in full by the due date to avoid late fees.

Third party access: If you would like your parent or family members to receive your monthly billing statement, you can set up friends and family in Workday Student, and manage third-party permissions.

Enrollment deposit: All undergraduate exchange students are required to pay a non-refundable enrollment deposit upon admission to WashU. The enrollment deposit for exchange students is $550. This enrollment deposit covers costs for Fall Welcome, additional orientation experiences for international students, and programming offered for exchange students throughout the semester such as local excursions and holiday celebrations.
