A time-honored tradition at WashU, Convocation is the official academic welcome to the university. Students will join the Chancellor, Provost, Deans, and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in Brookings Quad along with others from their Class.
Convocation will take place in August, on the Saturday before classes start. Following Convocation, there will be a party on the East End of campus. Families are encouraged to participate in this time-honored university tradition from the comfort of their homes, via the livestream. The in-person event is for students only.

Undergraduate students are invited to apply to be the Convocation student speaker. The application is open from March 17 through March 28. All materials should be uploaded by 11:59 p.m. (CST) on March 28.
