Ally Schipma, Ed.D., serves as the Director of Student Transitions & Engagement at Washington University in St. Louis, where she leads programs and initiatives that support students and families as they navigate important transitions throughout the undergraduate experience. In her role, she oversees New Student Orientation, Parent & Family Weekend, Bearprints for Success, and other engagement efforts designed to help students build community, develop a sense of belonging, and feel at home at WashU.
Ally has spent more than a decade working in higher education and student affairs, with experience in residential life, student support, conduct and care, and transition programming. She is passionate about creating meaningful student experiences and especially values the opportunity to work alongside student leaders as they welcome, mentor, and support their peers.
Outside of work, Ally enjoys spending time with her family, exploring St. Louis, cooking, and soaking up life with her daughter, Isla.
