Paying the student bill

We encourage you and your student to have an open conversation about expectations regarding billing and finances. Once your student receives login access to Workday, WashU’s online student portal, they will be able to grant access to parent(s) and family members to review bills and make payments. Once this step has been completed, an email containing a user ID, a temporary password, and a link to the online billing portal will be sent to the authorized payers or users.

Parent & family resources for managing finances

Student Financial Services

Each student is assigned a financial aid counselor who will be with you and your family during your WashU career. Before you arrive on campus, we encourage you to check out the SFS website for information on how to view and pay your bill, your payment options and preparation for on-campus employment.

Partners in Education with Parents

The Partners in Education with Parents (PEP) program is financed and managed by the university. The program features low fixed interest rates, affordable monthly repayment terms, no origination fees, and the opportunity to freeze four years of charges at the entering-year rate.

Financial Wellness

Financial Wellness’ goal is to enhance students’ financial well-being by providing resources to address their emergency needs as well as opportunities that enrich their experience as a WashU student.
