Student Transitions & Engagement guides you through your new student orientation with our Bear Beginnings: Bear Essentials resource booklet, the Get Your Bearings online orientation portal and the Fall Welcome in-person orientation. 

We also provide support through the WashU Student Associate (WUSA) program, foster relationships between faculty and students through Classroom Connections, create leadership opportunities through the Student Executive Board and provide programming for family members such as Parent & Family OrientationParent & Family Weekend, and much more.​

Student Transitions & Engagement supports new students through their transition into the Washington University community to assure they build and sustain their academic and personal goals. The office brings together people, programs and resources to provide an undergraduate experience of exceptional quality where all students are known by name and story and where they prepare themselves for lives of purpose and meaning.

Parent & Family Engagement

Parent & Family Engagement supports the families of all undergraduate students through programs and events such as Parent & Family Orientation, Parent & Family Weekend, and the Family Webinar Series.
